Waldorf Protein – Online MIDI Editor
WebMIDI Controller + Macro Mapping + Presets + Randomize (device-side CC mapping)

Connection

How mapping works: On the Protein, start Map CC, touch the parameter you want, then move a macro/knob here (sends a CC). The Protein assigns that CC to the last edited parameter.
Tip: Use the section templates below (Osc/Filter/Env/FX) and map once per “macro page”.

XY Pad

X 64
Y 64
Use XY for performance modulation. Assign CCs that you mapped on the Protein (e.g. cutoff/resonance).

Templates

Classic

32 macros with a practical CC range (20–51). Great starting point for mapping.

  • Osc (20–27)
  • Filter (28–35)
  • Env (36–43)
  • FX (44–51)

Performance

8 “live” macros + XY CCs defaulted to modwheel/cutoff style.

  • Macros 1–8 = CC1..CC8
  • XY = CC1 / CC74
  • Macros 9–32 = CC20..CC43

Sound Design

Spread across common CC space with room for your own mappings.

  • Macros 1–16 = CC16..CC31
  • Macros 17–32 = CC48..CC63
  • XY = CC74 / CC71
Templates only set labels + CC numbers. You still map the CCs to parameters on the Protein once.
